Executive Team

Ronnie Austin began his banking career working for the First National Bank of Paulding County in 1969 and rose to the position of Sr. V.P. While in his 15 year tenure there, he earned a certificate of banking from the University of Georgia and a degree in Community Bank Management from the University of Wisconsin. He later obtained the designation of Certified Professional Banker from Kennesaw State University in 1995. After working as the Executive V.P. of the Peoples Bank of Bartow County until 1987, Ronnie left to organize Community Trust Bank in Hiram, Georgia. He served as President and CEO of Community Trust Bank until 2001. Since that time, he has become one of the organizers of Atlanta Business Bank and currently serves as its CEO. Ronnie and his wife, Fyellis, have six adult children and five grandchildren. They reside in Vinings.

Ed received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. He is also a graduate of the University of Colorado Banking School in Boulder, CO. Ed is a CPA and currently serves as the President and CFO of Atlanta Business Bank. In addition to his responsibilities as President and CFO, Ed heads the Dental Private Banking Division of ABB. His private clients appreciate 17 years of banking and accounting experience. Ed currently lives in Marietta with his wife and three children. He enjoys playing golf, baseball and spending time with his family.

Bruce received an Economics degree from The University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He is also a graduate of the Georgia Banking School in Athens, GA. Bruce is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and currently serves as Senior Vice President and COO of Atlanta Business Bank. He brings 12+ years of experience in the financial services industry to clients of Atlanta Business Bank. Bruce currently lives in Grayson with his wife and four children.

Chip Nelson earned his Bachelor of Science in Management degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. He has been with Atlanta Business Bank since March 2003. Chip began his banking career within the commercial lending division of SunTrust Bank of Atlanta immediately after graduation from Georgia Tech.  Prior to joining Atlanta Business Bank, Chip was employed by Community Trust Bank in Hiram, GA, as Senior Credit Officer. Chip maintains a loan portfolio as well as all duties related to Chief Credit Officer with the Bank. Chip is an avid sports fan. Prior to attending college later in life, he managed and then owned his own small business; a Sports Memorabilia store in metro Atlanta. Chip has been active in the community through the years and has coached several youth athletic teams. Chip lives with his wife and two children in Mableton, GA.

A veteran in the dental industry, Liz brings her 16 years of business office management experience from one of the leading cosmetic offices in the country to the ABB team.  She has been trained extensively on relationship management at various seminars including the “Ritz-Carlton Customer Service,” Landmark Education Center, Fortune Practice, AACD, Pac-Live Academy and Excellence in Profitable Dentistry.  She has lectured on topics such as Team Building, Communication and Day to Day Office Management.  Liz is a client liaison for both the Dental & Medical Private Banking Divisions of ABB and resides in Newnan with her husband. She enjoys traveling in her leisure time.
